Curtis Yohon graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in finance and economics in 1996. In 2001, Curtis decided to pursue his goal of establishing a private, independent investment advisory practice, Yohon Wealth Management, LLC. This private practice became the foundation for establishing a Commonwealth branch office in the Midwest.

Curtis is happily married to Liz, whom he met after high school. She joined him at KU. They have three children—Connor, Trevor, and Emily—and they make their home in south Overland Park, Kansas. They are members of St. Michael the Archangel parish, where Curtis is actively involved in several ministries, including serving as an usher, and he is a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

The biggest influence in Curtis's life has been his grandfather, who he says is a model of integrity, persistence, and patience. He tries to incorporate these qualities into every aspect of his own life, whether it be spiritual, personal, or professional.
